I am a medical student at Stanford and my volunteer work is focused on increasing the accessibility of medical care.

Street Medicine and Harm Reduction

I go out frequently to visit homeless individuals in the area near me, predominantly in San Jose and the SF peninsula, but also out in the eastern Bay Area and beyond.

I predominantly give out food and warm clothing to the limit of my budget, but I also check in on individuals who I know need more medical care and struggle to get to the doctor. My goal is increasing their access to care and providing very basic care where they are, particularly wound care, which is critically important for many people.

I am working to expand what I do to include addiction-based harm reduction also. More on that in the future.

Open Medical Education

I additionally am a certified AHA CPR instructor and have taught First Aid, CPR, and Wilderness Medicine for almost a decade. I provide medical instruction to volunteer groups and anyone who cannot pay but wants to learn for free. I am also slowly building a library of free educational content online. This work takes times and effort and additionally requires money for server power. Any donations to support my work would be helpful.
