Hiya, I'm adtac, and I'm the creator of Commento, a fast, privacy-focused commenting platform. It's like Disqus, but much better for your readers' privacy as there are no ads or third-party tracking scripts. Unlike most alternatives, in Commento, you're the user, not the product. As a result, as much as I'd like to offer a free service in the interest of making the web more privacy-friendly, it's simply not sustainable in the long-term. The site is funded entirely by its users.

Commento is 100% free and open source software that I've been developing in my spare time for about two years now. However, the current revenue isn't nearly enough to support a full-time developer. Servers aren't cheap either, unfortunately. I'd very much like to work on the project full-time and that requires your support. Every donation (recurring or one-time) makes a huge difference in the pace of development of the project.
